1960 MGA Mark I Convertible
A beautiful, full frame off, professional restoration, which required over 2 years. The fully photo documented restoration was completed in 2012 with less than 2,200 miles since completion. It's British Heritage certificate verifies it's original configuration when built. During it's comprehensive, nut & bolt restoration all mechanicals were rebuilt with new hydraulics and electrics added, (including a complete new wiring harness & switch gear). All of the chrome was replated or replaced as was the windshield. During It's restoration many thoughtful upgrades were added to insure the car was a reliable, safe tourer. A Flotec aluminum oil cooler was added, (plumbed with braided stainless steel lines). All fuel lines to the SU carbs were done in braided stainless steel as well. Pertronix Electronic ignition, a Spin on oil filter conversion, & secondary electric fuel pump (to back up the new stock SU pump) were also added. The inteior was entirely replaced including LEATHER seats, new seat foams, door panels, boot cover, carpets, mats, hush mat and a custom made real Burl Walnut dash facia, matching custom shift knob & finished with a wooden Mota Lita steering wheel. The instruments were professionally refurbished, including resetting the odometer to 0.
The recent convertible top fits well and is in verry good shape though a small hole is present so a NEW black Robbins soft top is included.
New aluminum side curtains, new Tonneau cover, new tools & a tool roll are included with a new Jack, hammer, knock off tool and manual starting crank. A Custom car cover (with "1960 MGA" stitched in matching Burgundy thread) is also included. The car has new radials on (5) new Dayton chrome wire wheels. Freshly tuned carbs with new plugs, cap, rotor, wires and fluids. Absolutley rust free with everything working properly & ready to be enjoyed. Inspectors are welcome with transportation available to and from RDU-Raleigh airport if needed.
As you can tell this was a NO expense spared restoration which has been shown and very lightly diven.
