1957 Ford Thunderbird
A beautifully documented and restored 1957 Thunderbird convertible with matching hardtop.
Purchased new in New Mexico and kept by its original owner until 1972. The second owner was the founding member and president of the Thunderbird club in Phoenix Arizona, which began in 1970. As a part of his Thunderbird collection, which at times provided cars to the TV and movie industry, the car was kept with meticulous records through 1993. In 1995 the car was restored and subsequently sold to a collector in Texas in 1998. During its restoration factory air conditioning was added to this already well equipped Thunderbird. The car is equipped with power steering, power brakes, power seat, as well as both its White soft top and it’s recently professionally refinished hardtop. The original build sheet still accompanies the car, as well as it 20 page service history, documenting everything from oil changes to full brake and fuel system rebuilds down to wiper blade replacements. The cars 245 HP, 312 in.³ V8 was rebuilt and replaced in 1975 when the car had 88,350 miles on it. The chassis currently has 104,000 miles while the rebuilt engine has just under 15,000 miles on it. Currently privately owned and used for mostly for car shows and parades, the car starts easily, runs, drives and stops very well.
Along with adding factory air conditioning, several other thoughtful improvements have been added such as an electric fuel pump, 6 blade cooling fan and an improved ignition system. New white wall tires were recently fitted into its Kelsey Hayes wire wheels.
This classic Thunderbird is in great driver’s condition benefiting from it many years of documented service and previous restoration. Please feel free to contact me for more photos, video or information and visit my website Eurospec.website
